reuse-it! UBC is an important component of UBC’s Zero Waste Action Plan, as it fosters waste reduction and reuse, and supports the advancement of the circular economy.
A 2016 UBC SEEDS study demonstrated that a reuse program dedicated to surplus office furniture alone could produce potential cost savings of over $600,000 for the university. reuse-it! aims beyond that to include other streams of surplus assets, such as lab equipment which is a substantial area of reuse for UBC.
